Dominion Railway Services provided the conceptual track design for Phases 1 through Phase 3, together with operating plans, and comprehensive project management services, including the creation of initial Operating Instructions and Safety Plans.

From the visionary stages, DRS Associates were engaged by the promoters of a rail transload facility designed and constructed at Weyburn, Saskatchewan.  DRS provided conceptual designs, operational plans, and rail and site capacity assessments - and once completed, provided rail specific safety management and operating practices processes.

DRS worked with Canadian Pacific Railway (now CPKC) to develop an efficient interchange process, and provide capacity and industrial development expansion operations for short line partner Alberta Prairie Railway located at Stettler, Alberta.  DRS is pleased to continue to work as a resource for both CPKC and APR in this respect.

Rail Capacity & Operational Assessments
Hexion Canada - Edmonton
DRS Associates were engaged over a three year period in planning additional capacity for storing, loading, and switching rail cars at Hexion Canada's plant on CN's main line.  DRS provided proven solutions for adding capacity to the existing rail facility and conceptual plans for capital considerations.  As part of the process DRS had extensive and productive discussions with CN to arrive at potential solutions for the customer.
